13 Best Movie Strippers.

We love going to movies and sometime enjoy scenes involving artistic dancing in a form of erotic entertainment; Given a satisfactory account of those movies, the following are the collection of the best strippers known to movies in recent memory:

Natalie Portman, Closer (2004)
In Mike Nichols’ critically acclaimed drama, Closer, Natalie Portman played an emotionally complex and wildly unpredictable stripper named Alice Ayres.
Her tour-de-force performance was deservedly honoured with an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. To a lot of men, however, Portman’s Oscar-worthy turn began and ended with her G-string-strutting dance moves.

The Men of ‘The Full Monty,’ The Full Monty (1997)
Six unemployed men form a male striptease act, and the rest is ''full monty'' history. Ironically enough, not a single trace of full frontal nudity can be found in The Full Monty. Sweet! Finally we have a striptease movie the whole family can enjoy!

Jessica Alba, Sin City (2005)
We’re not even going to pretend about the acting in this one. It’s Jessica Alba stripping. Need we say more?

Mia Kirshner, Exotica (1994)
Oh what mysteries lie beneath the fleshy world of the fictional strip club, Exotica! It would be a crime to say anything more about this Atom Egoyan gem. So with that in mind, we will leave you with the whisperings of one last word: Christina.

Jennifer Beals, Flashdance (1983)
To what may we credit the massive popularity of Flashdance? Why Jennifer Beals’ career-launching performance as a steel mill welder/exotic dancer, that’s what! Well that and the rockin’ soundtrack, of course. But really, those two things go hand in hand.

Rita Hayworth, Gilda (1946)
What’s a movie stripper list without Rita Hayworth in Gilda? No, she didn’t take off her clothes, but that doesn’t mean her moves weren’t sizzling. And just how sensual could a woman’s dance routine be in a movie released in 1946, you might ask? We’ll let Gilda herself answer that for you:

Marisa Tomei, The Wrestler (2008)
Another Oscar-nominated turn for a stripper role. This time it’s Marisa Tomei’s poignant performance in The Wrestler as an exotic dancer who’s getting too old for her job. Like Natalie Portman before her, Tomei managed to balance sexiness with emotional depth, and delivered one of the finest performances of her career.

Demi Moore, Striptease (1996)
The classic guilty pleasure. Striptease is one hell of a terrible movie, but admit it: you like to watch. And even though she was in Ghost and A Few Good Men, most people picture one image and one image only when they hear the name Demi Moore (see above photo to confirm what’s already in your head).

Elizabeth Berkeley, Showgirls (1995)
So long, Jessie Spano; we hardly knew you. Trading in her conservative wardrobe from Saved by the Bell for little to no clothes in Showgirls was a risky move by Elizabeth Berkeley. For the most part, it didn’t pay off, as the film almost singlehandedly ruined her career. However, time has been kinder to this ''so-bad-it’s-good'' stripper flick; laughably cheesy to no end, Showgirls has all the hallmarks of the bona fide cult classic that it is.

Patrick Labyorteaux, Summer School (1987)
Nobody can understand why hunky football jock Kevin can never stay awake during class. That is until it’s revealed that he’s working through the night as a male dancer at a ladies strip joint to earn extra cash. Oh, ’80s comedies.

Gwen Welles, Nashville (1975)
All she wanted to be was a country music star. If only she could sing worth a damn. Try as she did, Sueleen Gay just couldn’t carry a tune. Why then was she able to perform at a club for a political fundraiser in Nashville, Tennessee? Because the only sound the all-male audience in the club wanted to hear was that of Sueleen’s clothes hitting the floor. Never before and never since has there been a more heartbreaking stripping scene than this memorable bit from Robert Altman’s classic ensemble piece, Nashville.

Salma Hayek, From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
When the extremely talented and sexy actress Salma Hayek came out on stage as a stripper in Quentin Tarantino’s From Dusk Till Dawn, many a male viewer’s heart skipped a beat. Yes, she had a giant snake wrapped around her body, and yes, her tequila-soaked toes were sucked ever so creepily by Tarantino, but we’ll be damned if this scene ain’t sexy. Oh, she’s also a vampire? Call 911: our hearts stopped beating.

Rose McGowan, Planet Terror (2007)
Perhaps the only thing hotter than watching Rose McGowan’s go-go-dancing ways in the opening title sequence of Planet Terror is watching Rose McGowan mow down a bunch of zombies with her grenade-launching prosthetic leg. Either/or, our eyes were glued to the screen.
